Got it on my email and thoughts this is important to publish.

1. Understand User-Intent

Keyword research is the cornerstone of any SEO campaign. Understanding user-intent when conducting and selecting your keywords is critical to getting your SEO off on the right foot and helping the right audience find your site. For instance, are “gym shoes,” “sneakers” and “tennis shoes,” the same thing? For some consumers those three words are completely interchangeable. But if a tennis player were looking for a new pair of shoes, they would search using “tennis shoes” and expect a very specific result. It doesn’t matter how you would search for your brand/products, it only matters how your target audience searches. Targeting the wrong keywords because you failed to understand the intent of the search means you’ll miss out on potential traffic and customers.

2. Don’t Rush Your Link Building

It is crucial for the search engines to see a diversified approach to link building that slowly grows over time. A blended approach demonstrates your commitment to white hat link building and building your online presence naturally. The search engines are very aware that they are playing a game with spammers and black hat SEO users, and they don’t plan on losing. If you develop too many links too fast, even if they are good quality links, this can raise a red flag with the search engines and your site could be penalized.

3. Content is King

Content is anything that is public and shareable. This includes blog web page content, blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos, whitepapers and more. It is also the most important factor of a website’s long term SEO success. Content should always be written for the end user, not for the search engines. You have to remember that the search engines are not going to be the ones purchasing your products or services, people are. Optimize your content so the search engines can find it, but don’t forget that it has to be human friendly first.

4. Be Strategic, Not Spammy

This is especially important in regards to social media marketing and social SEO. If you really wanted to, you could create a hundred different Twitter profiles to promote your content through. But what kind of real value are you getting from those profiles other than a link? You don’t have to tackle every aspect of SEO at once. Frankly, there just isn’t enough time in a day to take on that much work upfront. Pick and choose your battles so you don’t overdo it. Flooding the online market with low-quality SEO doesn’t help build your brand or reputation.

5. SEO is Long Term

This is probably the hardest thing for those new to SEO to wrap their heads around. SEO is not a quick fix to your online marketing. No, you won’t be ranking on the first page of Google for all your keywords by tomorrow, next week, or even next month. This is especially true if you recently launched your site. It takes a long time to build up your trust factor with the search engines.

SEO builds upon itself over time, but that doesn’t mean that once you have reached the first page in the search engines that you get to pack it up and call it a day. The Internet is continually growing and evolving. If you want to stay at the top, you have to keep working for it. It doesn’t take long for your site to slip down in the results pages if you abandon your SEO.

6. Follow Search Engine Guidelines Google, Bing and Yahoo want you to do well with your SEO because it helps clean up their search results. A better SERP makes for a happier search engine user. Search engines are in the business of pleasing the customer, just like everybody else. If your site can’t help them do that, you won’t ever rank well. That’s why every site owner and marketer has to read the Google and Bing Webmaster Guidelines. Consider those guidelines your SEO line in the sand. If they call something black hat, then treat it as such and avoid it. It can be very tempting to test out the black hat side of SEO, especially when you see your competition doing it and seemingly getting away with it. Just don’t! Sooner or later the search engines catch on and your site will be penalized.

7. Integrate Everything

Just about all your marketing online (and offline marketing) efforts can be leveraged for SEO. One of the biggest mistakes you could make is keeping your actions in separate silos. SEO works best when it is incorporated into the mix, becoming an essential component of your marketing online. If your company has a large marketing department, don’t segregate the SEO guy back to the IT department. Bring him aboard the marketing team and you’ll achieve greater online success.

It doesn’t have to be difficult to get approved to a CPA network. The tips below are going t to help you get approved by any CPA network. Have a look at this Portraits Photographers blog

The first tip is to wait at least one day after submitting your application before giving them a call to see if they’ll call you first. You will see that this small detail is important for getting you approved. The affiliate manager will typically email you letting you know that your application was received. When you open this email, you’ll see the affiliate manager’s phone number and email address. The day after you get the email, you should use that phone number to call the affiliate manager. You will see that this helps in getting you approved faster in two manners. The first thing this does is it tells the affiliate manager that you are willing to stretch your neck out to get accepted no matter what. Secondly, it’ll quicken the whole process since you won’t be waiting around to get a call from the network. Not only that, but there are many reasons why you’ll want to reveal everything about yourself to the CPA network. You want them to see you as someone they really want to do business with. When you call the affiliate manager, it allows him to see your application right there, and that makes answer questions easier. Above all, your goal is to develop a long lasting business relationship.

In the application process, always be truthful about your own personal data or information. It won’t go down well, and when they do find out that you ahve lied on your app, then it’s simple in that you’re affiliate status will be rejected and account closed. So it always pays to give them the correct details, right from your website to your country of residence. For example, let’s say you’re in Australia but you’re an American who is on a vacation. The problem occurs when they apply and state their primary home address, and that location will not match the IP from the PC where they’re on vacation, or visiting, and then the CPA network will know that and it sets off bells and whistles… and maybe a red flare and sirens. Always be upfront on your application and when dealing with them; especially if there is a potential area of confusion. But if you don’t have anything to hide, and some people do, then just be straight with them. Look at this Portraits Photographers page

You might consider this the most crucial technique. When you are filling out your application to the CPA network, you will see that there’s a box where they want you to add anything extra you’d like them to consider. If you want to know a good tip, it’s to use that box you’re given. Don’t just pass it up or not put anything in it. And if you’re a publisher who isn’t from the USA or Canada, it becomes even more important for you to take advantage of this box, since publishers who are from other countries have a hard time getting approved. This box can also be used to show off all that you know about online marketing so the affiliate manager knows your skill level.

If you use these techniques when applying for a CPA network, you’ll see just how effective they can be. Check out this Wedding Photography Packages site

If you are interested to sell info products on the net, then you just have to learn a little and take as much action as you possibly can. What we have in store for you are three strategies for selling information products – so keep reading to learn more. For example, if your aim is to go for the local monopoly niche, you can very well be successful in making it big with it once you set up a strong foundation.

When you want to make your own informational product don’t forget that, above all else, you need to take action. Many Internet marketers get caught in the “perfection” trap and wait to create the ultimate product before they can launch it. If you really want to find success as an information entrepreneur, you need to take regular action–not just plan things over and over again. Run with your good ideas instead of focusing on potential results. If you’ve completed your market research, your product stands every chance of succeeding. If problems happen during your first launch, relax, you can work them out, fix up your product and prelaunch it. Always remember that regular action is important–if you just sit and wait for a good opportunity instead of taking regular steps on your own, nothing will happen. A successful info product depends on many parts being right, and they are not directly related to the actual product. If you are wondering about your sales letter, then you get an ‘A’ for correct wondering. You can create the best product that solves the most complex of problem, but if your sales letter isn’t doing a good job, the sales won’t come in – as simple as that. So in order to make your product successful, the kind of sales copy you create for it plays a big role. There is no getting around the fact that your copy must convert, and so you need to find a way to address it. It needs to help the potential customers take a buying decision, and this is only possible when it highlights the benefits in a broad way. There are shortcuts around the problem of not being able to outsource this, and you can do a decent job of writing if you put your mind to it. But don’t make the mistake of taking the sales letter lightly because ultimately all your conversions depend on it. For instance, if you’re trying to go for the local monopoly niche, you can very well be successful in making it big with it once you set up a strong foundation.

It is the quality of your products that will allow you to stand apart from your competition. There are so many people who are trying their hands at building and selling information products like eBooks and reports and then end up failing because they aren’t able to deliver anything of real value. You need to focus entirely upon creating a really great product that really satisfies your customers and over delivers. This is because selling them once is not what you’re looking for, but instead, your aim is to establish a long term business here where they buy from you again and again. For instance, if you sell them an eBook about “dog training”, you can then create and sell more info products on the same topic in the future. Of course, they aren’t going to buy from you again if you don’t give them a good product.

All in all, this article shows you that if you want to find success in the informational product business, you need to know how to deliver well and give your customers what they really want so that you can be sure to set up long term business success for yourself.

Nothing has been found to be more effective than Video Marketing when getting the message out to potential customers. Video sharing sites like Youtube have cemented video marketing as a great way to get your product recognized, whatever that may be. This is clearly demonstrated with the increasing popularity of advertisers using ‘viral’ videos for marketing purposes. Creating an interest, while allowing the viewer to actually see what your product, is one of the reasons people are using video marketing a lot more. No other form of positive exposure comes close to that of video advertising, which fully engages both the audio and the visual senses of the viewer. We will now reveal two effective video marketing tips and study the most productive way to use them. Learn more about Video Marketing Concepts Here!

Research Your Target Market

Unlike TV, people switch from one video to another pretty fast on the Internet. A video that’s too lengthy runs the risk of boring the viewer, losing his or her attention. Remember, your intention with video marketing is to get traffic, not entertain. Once you know your target market and how your video will be structured, you should decide on how long it will run. If the video is just going to a short informative clip, keep the length between 1:30 minutes to 2 minutes. Now if the video is just an advertisement for a product, then it should be limited to less that a minute in length. How your video begins is very important, so be as direct as you can be as quickly as possible–ideally, within the first ten seconds. Get to the point as quickly as you can. To put it another way, be sure you videos are concise and polished. You don’t have to be a technician to create good content for your videos; it’s fine to write it out as a script and let a pro take care of the editing.

Outsource Your Videos for Best Results

As with any marketing campaign, you want your videos to be of a high quality. The professionalism in your videos’ creation will determine if they are successful or not. You will see many people who don’t have any experience making a video attempting to make their own marketing clips. If you are one of the few who truly has some skill in video editing, then creating the videos yourself may be an option, but for most people, the only way to achieve a professional video is to let someone else do the work. Outsourcing is one way to ensure that your video is edited by someone who knows what they’re doing and how to do it well. Another possibility is to ask a friend with video creation knowledge and experience to assist you in your efforts. Hiring someone or outsourcing your work for creating your video marketing needs can give you a massive advantage over the competition and help you gain ground.

In your education regarding Internet marketing, you may come across the acronym SEO quite a few times.

To raise their pages as high in the search engine’s rankings as possible, website owners and Internet marketers will employ Search Engine Optimization or “SEO” techniques. There are lots of ways that you can practice SEO with your own internet marketing projects and figuring out which methods are going to work best for you can sometimes seem tricky and overwhelming. How should you figure the most effective SEO practices?

The next few tips are the best way to enhance your SEO strategies and make them work for you. Senuke is created by Areeb

You have to pick the things that the search engines will permit you to use for your websites. These same search engine companies also vary the criteria for their spiders a good deal. So it is better to practice a few tried and true techniques than to re-do your sites and your marketing efforts every time you hear that the Google’s algorithm for SEO has changed. As long as you know the main rules of SEO, follow them and do something you aren’t supposed to do. If you’re an Internet marketer, you can’t commit a worse crime than irritating or being fraudulent in the eyes of Google. If your sites get de-indexed, your traffic will plummet!

When using SEO, links can be one of the best things you can provide. You want high ranking websites to link to you so that you can raise in the ranks yourself. This doesn’t mean to only use inbound links in your site, because they aren’t all that’s important with SEO. Outbound links are just as important. You have to ensure that your website links point to additionally high placing websites in your category too. These sites will usually love the fact that you are sending traffic their way and will link back to your site. When you get this going with several different sites, your reputation will grow not only with the niche you are in, but with search engines as well. Learn more about Areeb’s Senuke on our website.

Here is a huge tip to help you: Anytime you place a link on your site, either internal or outbound links, make it a point to include the keyword or keyword phrase that you have picked for your site. This helps the search engines figure out which sites relate to which links and it simply reads better than inserting a “Click Here!” in the middle of a paragraph. Blended links are the best, most readable option, since your visitors will be enticed to click on it to learn more. Fewer people will be likely to click on the “Click Here!” links, because it feels a little pushy.

There is more to search engine optimization than meets the eye. You might start to get discouraged by the amount of time it takes to juggle all of the inbound and outbound links, as well as your keywords and phrases! Regardless of this, you can get a great grasp on SEO and won’t have to work so hard to optimize your content in time. As soon as you figure out the yes and no of SEO, the easier it is. Search Engine Optimization is an important tool for every website owner and internet marketer. If people didn’t use SEO, it would be impossible to find anything!

It can be difficult to create a presence for your company on the internet. No matter what you do, maybe your website is stuck in Google’s lowest circle. What is the key to success online? Website traffic. What can a company do to drive customers to their website?

- Do some research, ask fellow business owners and find a successful freelance SEO consultant. An online media agency can make your company successful in the world of online business.

- YouTube is the biggest social media tool on the Internet today. It gets more hits than Facebook or Google. Google now even offers a tool that translates videos to texts. If you’d rather not be on YouTube yourself you can create PowerPoint presentations about your company and post them to YouTube. YouTube can help your company climb to the top of internet ratings.

- Blogs are an excellent way to showcase your company and draw readers to your website. Start a blog on your website, making sure that there are lots of links from the blog to the website. Your blogging topics should be relevant to your business or industry.

- Online articles also showcase your business and draw potential customers to your website. The Internet abounds with free places to publish articles that will showcase your business. Look at writerscafe.org, hubpages.com, ezinarticles.com, booksie.com and gather.com. You will prefer some over others but these sites will get you published and the name of your company onto the Internet.

- Never overlook social networking. Sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook will give your company maximum online exposure. They will bring new customers to your website and bring new customers to your business. Make sure you include a link to your business’s website in all of your posts.

- Online marketing is well served by press releases. Press releases keep your customers and potential customers up on company news and upcoming events. Your brand reputation will be enhanced and your company’s web presence will be established. Press releases will create possible relationships with potential customers and bring traffic to your website.

A crucial aspect of improving your company’s web presence is never forgetting to include your company’s website address. No matter how often you post on Facebook and Tweet, if customers can’t easily find your site you are wasting your time. Follow some of the suggestions above and your company will begin ranking well on Google, drawing in new customers and keeping existing customers well informed.

Every marketer has to deal with conversion rate, and for many it can be a puzzling and frustrating experience. This article is all about maximizing conversion rate, and we have a few great tips to share with you, today. Orlando Search Engine Marketing

One of the most important things you can do in your copy for better conversion rates is offer proof to back-up your claims. It can be a battle and certainly a challenge but it must be done; and never stretch the truth about anything if you want to be recognized as a legitimate marketer. We all know there are thousands of less than honest people selling things on the web. In such a scenario, you have to be professional in your approach and give out as much proof as possible so that your visitors are able to trust you. The hardest part of the process is the visitor who lands on your page the very first time; it’s all uphill for you, but do all you can to appear credible and trustworthy. We will caution you about exposing too much of your own private and important details. You can use videos, for example, to show people you’re real, and then you can present data that supports. What you ultimately choose as far as your medium is concerned should be the best fit for your sales copy. How about using supporting material but in the way of social proof? That kind of support comes in the way of expert testimonials about your claims, etc. If you can achieve irrefutable proof that is overwhelming and believable, then your converions will increase.

Make buying from you the simplest, easiest, and fastest thing anyone could ever do. Remember people online are extremely impatient, want to get their business done, and then move on to whatever else. It’s an absolute fact that if your process takes too long, or there are too many steps, your rate of abandonment will be high – and of course that means lower conversions. Think of the entire process from the point of visitor arrival all the way to the “submit” to actually purchase – make it all painless. So during check-out, try to minimize the number of time people have to enter information, click on submit, and do something at another page.

Always ask for a second opinion from another copywriter, so that you can improve parts of your copy that got ignored. The best option is to hire a copywriter for your site content or sales material, but if your budget doesn’t allow, then the next best thing is to get a critique. It’s not always possible to know for sure which areas may need to be revised, and that’s why it matters to have a trained eye look at it.

You can find so many other ways to increase your conversion rates, but the number one thing that will get you there is taking action. Web Ranking SEO .com (407) 876-5771 offers search engine optimization services, nationwide search optimization, Orlando search engine marketing, local search engine optimization and Orlando internet marketing.

This email lands uo on my inbox yesterday.

I thought the issue is too important, and decided to publish the email as is.

PART 1:

This is an important update for SEO customers using our Proxy Servers specifically with Google.com.

If you are not using your Proxy Servers for Google at all, you can disregard this bulletin.

If you are using your Proxy Servers with a country specific Google, eg google.co.uk, google.de etc, then you are most likely not affected either. This bulletin is related to a Google.COM specific issue.

Apologies for the length of this email, but Google have made a major algorithm change, and there’s important info here you almost certainly won’t have read anywhere else.

=========================

PART 2:

Trusted Proxies Proxy Servers are all PHYSICALLY based in a specific country. All the IP addresses are registered in that country too. This means that any and every commercial GEO-IP database you use will tell you the correct country of your Proxy Servers. Then when you use the Proxy Servers to surf the web, you are returned content specific to the country of your Proxy Servers. At Trusted Proxies, we work very diligently to ensure the physical location and IP registration country of your Proxy Servers always matches the country for which you have ordered Proxy Servers for.

For example, you can use some of these popular demo tools for verifying the country of your Proxy Servers:
http://www.maxmind.com/app/locate_demo_ip
http://whois.domaintools.com/
http://www.ip2location.com/demo.aspx

I can give you my personal, 100% assurance, that the physical location and IP registration country of all of your Proxy Servers is in the country you asked for.

PART 3:

A few weeks ago we started to notice that a small number of customers using some of our Proxy Servers to go to google.com, were being automatically redirected to a different Google country domain, eg google.co.uk, or google.com.hk etc instead.

We have seen this happen on odd occasions in the past, single IP addresses (and not entire ranges) would behave erratically. We put it down to a corruption of some sort and just replaced the single Proxy Server for the customer.

In this current wave, we got our first reports in mid-Feb and noticed that the number of incidences grew over the following week. We have been monitoring the results to see if the problem is growing, stable, or going away.

After 2 weeks of testing, it looks as though the problem has stabilized, with a significant MINORITY of our Proxy Servers affected.

Just to restate something obvious here. Nobody picked up our US Proxy Servers and moved them to Hong Kong. This is verifiable by typing in the IP addresses of your Proxy Servers into the online Geo-Checking tools above.

And prior to Google’s last big algorithm update, NONE of our Proxy Servers were being redirected by Google.

We can therefore state with 100% certainty that this is a Google issue.

We can also conclude that Google uses its own algorithm to determine where it thinks an IP address is located, even if that bears zero relation to reality. (Isn’t that often the case with the Google algorithms?)

Google admit as much that they “sometimes” get it wrong. They have a help page dedicated to it, and we have picked up a significant uptick in Internet “chatter” around this. It affects residential addresses, businesses, as well as Proxy Server companies, right around the world:

http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?&answer=873&hl=

[If any of your IP addresses are affected, we would appreciate it if you could complete the quick form on this link to request they reclassify the IP address properly – obviously we as Trusted Proxies cannot do this "en masse"]

I have no idea why Google have done this. My personal opinion is that it is a mistake which they will eventually realize and will fix in the coming months. I believe the reason they made this change is part of their ongoing strategy of “improving the user experience” by “giving more locally relevant results”. So my guess is as part of this latest update, they made a big “push” to redirect more users to what they think should be their local Google, but somewhere along the line, they messed up the algorithm of working that out (apparently looking in a commercial Geo-IP database like everyone else on the planet would be just too simple).

I can also state categorically that Google have not targeted Trusted Proxies specifically (and hence conclude it’s an algorithm update). This is because:

a) The majority of our Proxy Servers are functioning just fine
b) The effects are random, IP’s in the same Data Center, with very close numbering, are performing differently – some redirecting, some not
c) If Google really wanted to target us, they would block our Proxy Servers altogether, I don’t think “playing games” is their style, and as you can see below, there is a very easy workaround anyway

PART 4:

OK, so this first part of this bulletin has been about demonstrating “it’s not our fault”.

Now on to how this may or may not affect you, and what you can do about it.

Firstly, it may not affect you at all, or it may be only some of your Proxy Servers affected.

The most obvious way to tell is by looking at your keyword ranking results. Have you noticed any strange results coming in, possibly results related to countries nothing to do with the country you’re checking?

Ranking positions dramatically changing in (later) February is also another clue, although with the “Farmer/Panda Update” having such a big effect this month, it may be hard to tell which is which.

If you suspect a Proxy Server has been affected, then the next test is to try it out in a web browser.

Also bear in mind, that even if Google is redirecting you, depending on the nature of your search terms, it may not impact your SERPs. I say this partially from observation, and also because so far only a tiny percentage of customers have raised the issue with us.

[In fact we need not have sent this email. But we value our core values, that you can trust and rely on us as a company and our Proxy Servers. That’s why we are publicly broadcasting this bulletin to all our customers we have identified that could be using Google.com].

Please remember something very important, differences of one or two places between queries is very common, and is nothing to do with this redirection issue.

PART 5:

Google.com vs. Country Specific Google Domain:

Let’s take an example, say you are using US Proxy Servers, but when you go to google.com it redirects you somewhere else, let’s say google.com.hk.

For manual searches, the easy way round it is to click the link at the bottom of the page that says “Go to Google.com”. Depending on the nature of your searches though, your SERPs may or may not be accurate, in which case read on.

In order to fully understand the issue and your results, it is imperative you understand how Google.com works.

USA users searching Google.com will get USA results, whereas someone in any other country (with or without Proxy Servers) gets “Universal” results, NOT usually tailored to the country you’re in either. Local non-USA results only come from querying the local Google domain, which is what Google are trying to push people towards.

Put another way, Google would really like it if there was a “Google.USA” that Americans would go to for American results, just like British people go to Google.co.UK for UK results, and then leave Google.COM for “generic” results.

PART 6:

If you’re using USA Proxy Servers for USA specific results, AND your Proxy Servers ARE redirecting you, AND the results are very different, here’s what to do:

Google lets you customize the results by setting parameters in the url you send it. Look at this example:

http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=send+fresh+flowers&cp=13

The parameter “hl=en” tells Google to search in English.

But if you add an extra parameter, “gl=US” it tells Google to return US specific results. Here’s how the url would look:

http://www.google.com/#hl=en&gl=US&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=send+fresh+flowers&cp=13

Also, if you are doing manual searches, the “Get Out of Jail Free Card” is that you can manually set your location in the left hand toolbar, under “More search tools”. If you do that, look what happens to the URL, you’ll see that your specific custom location information is just added to the Google URL.

If you are using your own in-house custom application, you’re probably already manipulating the Google URL. You should just check that you’re setting “gl=US”.

There’s a very useful article on Google’s parameters here:http://yoast.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/google-url-parameters.pdf

PART 7:

What happens then if you’re using automated keyword ranking software like Advanced Web Ranking (AWR)?

In AWR, and I believe most other mainstream packages, you can choose which Search Engines you use. You’re probably used to “Google” and the local Search Engine variations like “Google UK” and “Google France” etc.

But not so well known is “Google USA”.

If you’re not already using it, and you specifically want USA results, then all you need to do is change your tool’s project to use the “Google USA” search engine, rather than just “Google”.

It really is that simple!

Remember also that tools like AWR allow you to get “local” City specific results as well – they do all this by manipulating the Google parameters and/or scraping the Google AdWords Preview Tool, all of which means that the location (actual, or what Google thinks) is immaterial.

If you have questions or issues with your specific Proxy Servers, please open a Support Ticket, by emailing support@trustedproxies.com.

Alternatively you can email me directly, on paul@trustedproxies.com, if you need to discuss these issues in general.

I hope this bulletin helps you gain ever more accurate SERPs to help you and your clients.

Regards

Paul
